This trekking trip is one of the most famous treks in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trail passes through a variety of different landscapes, from lush sub-tropical rainforest, deep valleys and cultivated fields, to wooded alpine and high desert. We will visit many different ethnic villages, meeting the local people and enjoying spectacular views of massive Himalayan Peaks including the Annapurnas and Manaslu. We will cross the Thorong La Pass (5,416m) which is a challenging ascent. We begin the trek from Besisahar anti-clockwise around the Annapurna massif. The trail climbs gradually, allowing us to acclimatize to the high altitude along the Marshyangdi Valley. After crossing the Thorong La Pass, we descend to Muktinath, a popular Hindu shrine. Descending down the Kaligandaki River Valley we head towards Poonhill and immerse our-selves in the beauty of panoramic view of Machhapuchre (the fishtail) and other Annapurna Himalayan ranges.
