Mera Peak Trek & Climbing

Situated in the Everest region to the east of the main Khumbu trekking trails, Mera Peak stands at 6654m. The trail follows the original Everest expedition route, crossing the high ridges and spectacular deep river gorges of the Sherpa homeland of Everest region before entering the less-frequented wilderness of the Hinku valley. J.O.M. Roberts and Tenzing made the first successful ascent of Mera Peak on 20 may 1953. From the summit of Mera peak the view is beautiful and visible are the peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and Cho oyu.
